In local photography news: coming up next weekend is the launch of the book This Is East Van 2, and the accompanying gallery show. The launch happens on Saturday, 7 July at 7 p.m. at the Interurban Gallery (at the corner of Hastings and Carrall) and will feature a display of photographs that appear in the book. The show will stay up for three weeks, until 28 July, so if you can’t make it Saturday, you’ll still have a chance to see it. I’m happy to participate in the event with one of my photos, and am looking forward to seeing all the other photographers and their artwork.
